The remodeling of this emblematic Madrid stadium will convert this city icon into one of the more exclusive stadiums in the world and has motivated an urban renewal in the environs.
The project has involved an inventory and detailed study of existing trees and their needs, and the proposal of new street trees to complete an ambitious renewal plan. During planning the impact of 80,000 people attending soccer games has been an important consideration. The street trees and raised planting areas at the access plazas will greatly improve the comfort of the surrounding areas, not only for tourists that daily visit the stadium and museum, but also creating quality public space for the surrounding neighborhood.
