The existence of large cedars on the property generates the whole project, with a clear distinction between the domestic area around the house and the more natural “woods” around the great trees. The garden is enjoyed both from the interior of the home, through the large glass walls, as from the transition terrace or strolling on the gravel paths.
The plantings under the trees have been chosen for their shade tolerance and ease of maintenance, with the creation of a plant cover that is reminiscent of the plant strata in a forest, with flowers predominantly in shades of blue and white.
The ample vegetable garden area, with raised planting beds to ease maintenance, allows the family to consume organic produce throughout the year and explore the possibilities of self- production.
